Description
Book this presents a teaching of the precious Master, the Venerable Rabten Rinpoce, also known as the „Course of at Rolle”. On the occasion of the first sale travelling in Europe, being invited to embark on a lecture tour, the Master taught this course in Rolle, Switzerland, in summer 1974.
As the title suggests, we are in possession of a real treasure trove which contains those May precious jewels of the Buddha's teachings, which Gheșe Rabten has made known in a clear and methodical manner, typical of him.
When ignorance, selfishness, greed, aversion, aversion, pride, and envy take over our mental flow, instead of the peace and happiness we long for, they create endless difficulties and suffering for ourselves and others. When, however, contentment, magnanimity, patience, compassion, wisdom, are firmly rooted in the mind, even adverse conditions become beneficent causes.
In so far as they are not an integral part of the nature of the mind, it is possible to eliminate these imperfections altogether and to develop the positive aspects of our mind by appropriate methods.
“Notice how glad you are if someone comes to your aid when you are in distress. Like us, others are happy when we relieve their pain. That is why we must act for the good of others, for we could not justify our wanting to be helped without our helping others.” - quote from the book
