Teachings on the essentials of Buddhism
Cultural Centre L'Amphiteatro Art Club 27 Plantelor Street, Bucharest Sector 2, RomaniaWe have great joy to announce that the Venerable Master Gonsar Rinpoce will be back in Romania, after a five-year break, in Bucharest to teach Dharma teachings. Through his personal example as well as through his teachings, we will have the rare opportunity to come into contact with a fulfilling mind that bears the stamp of luminous strength and clarity. The event is open to the general public and is designed to meet all who seek to develop their own mind through the cultivation of compassion and wisdom. Topics The main topic of the weekend seminar will be the essential aspects of the teaching of the Buddha (the Awakened One), in particular, the meaning of the Three Gemmata (triratna): Buddha, Dharma, Sangha. The attitude that defines a person as a Buddhist is the attitude of seeking refuge or protection (śaraṇa) in the Three Nestemata. The teachings will be based on the text Śaraṇa-gamana-deśanā, composed by the great Bengali master Atiśa Dīpamkara-śrī-jñāna Atiśa Dīpamkara-śrī-jñāna who lived between 982-1054. He is the master who had the greatest influence on Buddhism in Tibet, his teachings on the Mind of Threes-pointedness (Bodhicitta) and especially on the gradual path to Threes-pointedness (Lam Rim), are the cornerstone for all traditions of Tibetan Buddhism.
